	CodeScan® is a powerful scanning and coding solution that eliminates the manual process of charge entry while providing an intuitive tool for charge editing. Charge data recorded by the physician on an encounter form is electronically scanned via Optical Mark Reader (OMR) technology at a rate of 1,800 encounter forms per hour, or about one every two seconds. Charges are then edited for completeness and appropriate coding.
